Have you heard the rhetorical question, "What would Jesus do?" Me too.
I think an equally important and interesting question is "What would Jesus see?"
One way to discover what Jesus would see is to put on polarized Songlasses. Once you do that, you'll see the world as Jesus would see it, with a spiritual vision that cuts through the harsh and distracting glare of the world around you.
Think of it this way.
Polarized sunglasses block harsh horizontal light waves and the resulting glare that reflects back to your eyes from flat surfaces. This glare causes eye strain and distracts you from seeing things as they really are.
When you wear polarized sunglasses, the vertical waves of direct light pass through the lens, giving you more clarity and minimizing eye strain.
With this in mind, how do you put on Songlasses and see what you can see in your life and the world around you with clarity?
Putting nature aside, when you boil everything that happens in the world down to its basics, much that goes one is the result of human nature. Even what nature does is sometimes the result of human nature, what we do or don't do to it.
Even a cursory look at history from its beginning to today, biblically from Genesis through the Book of Revelation, overall human nature hasn't really changed, has it?
So, the answer is simple. You read, study, and meditate on Scripture, especially the words of Jesus and how he reacted to the people and the world around him.
What Jesus saw during his 33 years on this earth as a human being is an accurate lens through which to look at the world around you.
The other important thing you can do as you look through your Songlasses, is to see how the Lord loves you, and how everything he wills for you is for your good. Once you view your life as he sees it, you will burst forth with Thankfulness.
Sit down in your easy chair with the Holy Spirit, open up your Bible, and put on your spiritual Songlasses, to see by a faith-based clarity the people and world around you, and why you should be thankful.
